Recovery 55 is an out-patient program of Alameda County Behavioral Healthcare operated by our Homeless Senior Services staff. It targets seniors aged 55 and older who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or formerly homeless. We call it a “life recovery” program, in part, because the program covers drug and alcohol addiction, depression, and other mental health issues. Seniors learn strategies to help them reduce or eliminate drug and alcohol use and how to cope with a mental illness. These strategies help them stabilize their lives.
All of St. Mary’s services are integrated to create a cohesive individualized program. If you are interested in attending Recovery 55, which meets five mornings a week, register by calling St. Mary’s Center at 510-923-9600 and asking to speak to the Worker of the Day.
