Maria’s Dream Began with Home at St. Mary’s Center

Support Seniors' Dreams of a Safe, Permanent Home

Maria, an East Bay resident, passed by our community center on San Pablo Ave. for years. When Maria unexpectedly became homeless, she found her way inside and was placed in transitional housing right away. She is known to thank the organization and the first case manager who greeted her for changing her life in a critical moment of need.

Since 1973, St. Mary’s Center has delivered essential resources to our West Oakland neighborhood. For more than 50 years of service, we’ve provided seniors with food, fellowship, case management, counseling, and housing placement and helped children receive education through our Preschool.
