Sara Bedford, MPP, retired as the Director of Human Services for the City of Oakland in 2022.  Her work in Oakland has included leading major initiatives for children and youth development, violence prevention and housing services with an emphasis on achieving equitable outcomes and building strong, resilient communities through grassroots leadership.
